Derby in January

A few weeks back Chet and I headed to Golden Spike Stadium in Ogden to watch a derby.
Yes I said derby.. and it was outside.
The derby was put on last minute to help earn money for all the police officers that got injured at the shooting down there in Ogden.
It was difinitely weird to be at the derby in the middle of January but it wasn't disappointing.
It was a perfect afternoon to watch a derby, a little cold but well worth it.

Happy Birthday Tay!!!

Even though Katie's birthday was last week, I wanted to let her know that I didn't forget her on my blog...
It makes it hard to celebrate her birthday when she lives so far way.
We got to web chat and to show me all the gifts she got.
She even played the piano for me with her new music book.
Thanks Tay for the great example you are to me.
You are so talented and I look up to all the time.
I wish I was there to make you a cake and celebrate the day with you.
Miss ya, hope you had a great day, Love ya!!

Goals for 2012

As the 2012 begins it feels nice to start with new goals for the year.
I am super excited about this year and the goals I'm hoping to accomplish.
I have a feeling this is going to be a great year :)

Goals to Accomplish by the end of 2012:
(in no particular order)
  1. Learn something new- Try something different, don't be afriad to go out of your comfort zone
  2. Be active- excersie 3-4 times a week, not to lose weight but to feel good, no more being lazy
  3. Read my scriptures every day- start my day off right, continue to gain an understanding and knowledge of the things I read
  4. Eat healthier- replace unhealthy with healthy, don't eat out as much, drink less pop, eat less candy
  5. Become a better cook- always try new recipes, plan ahead weekly meals, watch and learn from my mom more
  6. Read more books- help me to eliminate the time I would could be watching TV or on internet
  7. Improve temple attandance- prepare to enter in the temple, go to the temple at least 2 times a month
  8. Be postive- always smile, no more talking negative, don't talk bad about others, be happy
  9. Live in the moment-"If you live purely in the moment you will always be happy because there is nothing wrong in this split-second", don't take life so serious, relax!!!!
  10. Be organized- plan out my days, deep clean and dejunk often
  11. Be a better daughter, sister, wife and friend- always support them, call them up just to talk and to see how their day went
  12. Help others- forget myself and serve other, always look for ways I can step up to help

Catch Up

Time to play a little catch up since I have been MIA for a few weeks.

It's sad to see that holiday's come and go but I had a blast!!

Christmas eve we went out to lunch with Chet's family and Grandma Marie.
We spent the rest of the day/ night at my parents house.

We had our fondue dinner

We had a white elephant gift exchange

We all got a kick out of my mom's gift she got and how embarrassed she was.

Bryant showing off the elf outfit :)

We acted out the nativity

The rest of the night we spent playing games till way late at night.

Christmas morning we got up SUPER early and opened presents with my family
Chet and I went to church with his parents and came back to open presents with them.
Tammie made a big breakfast and then fell back asleep.
Later that night we had the Olsen Christmas party were we had dinner and did the gift exchange.
It was a lot of fun visiting with family.
Sadly I forgot my camera Christmas day and don't have any pictures of the day/night.

New Years Eve was pretty low key....
Chet's aunt and Grandma came up for the weekend.
Us girls all went shopping that afternoon and we got to sit and visit.
Chet was leaving early that next morning (2am) so we spent a lot of time packing his bags.
We spent the rest of the night with my family playing games, and eating lots of food.

New Years Day...
I spent all New Years up in Lewiston for Hudson's baby blessing.
I ate way to much food but it was all so dang good :)
It was fun to see a lot of family and I had a lot of fun playing with my buddy Shae.

So long 2011... I am so excited and can't wait to see what happens this coming year :)

Temple Square...

I LOVE this time of year...
Saturday night Alyse, Jake, Chet and I made our way down to SLC to see the lights.
We stopped in Layton and ate at Applebee's then head to Temple Square.
Of course the lights were amazing and it was fun to just walk around and see everything.
It was pretty cold outside so we made our way inside the building for a lot of the time.
We had a lot of fun and it was just nice to get out of the valley for the night.

Thanksgiving in Neola!!

I went to Neola, Ut again this year for Thanksgiving.
(close to Vernal, Roosevelt area)
It's always fun to get together with Chet's family.
We don't get to see the Jensen side as much, so its always fun to catch up when we go.
We had the dinner acrossed the street at the elementary school.
All the food was great!!
I think I ate way to much food though :)
After dinner we played a few rounds of lightening.
We spent the rest of the time at Chet's grandma's.
The men mostly watched football.
The women just sat and visited and played games.
We played a new game Tammie taught us and I won and got $5.25 :)
The next morning we had a big breakfast before we all headed home or to shop.
Sadly I forgot I had my camera and I didn't take any pictures :(
*I promise I will do better at taking pictures of what I do so you're not reading all the time*

My golden year!!

No I am not 25 yet!!
I just think it's fun to say.
Its not to often you turn 23 on the 23rd.
Sunday my family celebrated my b-day.
I decided to have taco soup and instead of cake I wanted fruit pizz.
I forgot how much I love that stuff. :)
Tuesday my friend took me to lunch at Angies
Later that night I went to dinner with more friends at Old Grist Mill.
On Wednesday, my actual birthday.
I got attacked in bed by Bryce to wish me a happy birthday first.
"Cause that's what birthday buddies do"
Katie called me and was bummed she wasn't the first to wish me a happy birthday.
Bryce even made me muffins for breakfast.
My sisters took me to luch at Quiznos
My family left to Idaho Falls so Chet picked me up and we went out to his parents to party!!
I had a GREAT birthday.. thanks for all the texts, phone calls and messages on fb.

Save the Date

Breaking Dawn!

My friend invited me to go and I couldn't pass it up.
I was going to wait till it wasn't so crowded.
For being a Friday night the lines and wait weren't bad at all.
The movie was good!!
Still not as good as the book. (not so cheesy in my head)
I was amazed at how many older women went though.
I think they were pretty excited with all the cheering that went on.
They may have been worse then teenagers, pretty darn close.

A little under the weather

The past few days I have been feeling like this....

This cold has been floating around my house for the last week.
I am one of the lucky ones who got it.
Not fun at all..... I really just want to stay in bed and do nothing all day long.
I'm pretty sure my nose can't get any more red from wiping it so much.
It makes for some good stares at the store.
-Yes people I am sick, my nose doesn't always look like this-
On the bright side I get soup ALL the time.
Plus it give me an excuse to wear my sweats all day long.
I think I am at the peak of the cold so I will be better for my b-day and Thanksgiving next week :)
Well I hope so anyways.

Engaged!!!

*Don't judge these pictures I had no idea that I would be getting engaged.

In case you haven't heard the great news, me and Chet are getting married!!!
We are so excited and we couldn't be happier.
It was a very good suprise and Chet is quit the sly one.
Now that it has sunk in, we are now busy planning our wedding.
I keep getting asked how he proposed so here you go....

The proposal:
Chet wanted to go for a ride for a bit.
As we were driving he was telling me about his Elders Quorum lesson on sunday about temples.
So we headed up to the temple because he hasn't walked around the temple in a long time.
After we made it around once Chet wanted to go around again.
We stopped in front of the temple just standing and talking.
Then he had me do this activity they did in Elders Quorum (no they really didn't do this)
We look at the temple for 10 seconds, close our eyes for 15 seconds.
When we open our eyes we talk about what is going on in our heads.
The 10 seconds were up I closed my eyes as Chet started counting to 15.
As Chet was counting he would slow down when cars drove and he moving around a lot.
15 seconds were up and I opened my eyes.
I didn't know what to do next so I just said "okay now what?"
Chet was quick to say "um"...
I turned around and he was on one knee and asked me.
I was so suprised I had no idea that he talked to my parents and picked out a ring.
I can't wait to be sealed to Chet FOREVER!!!!

    Family Pictures

A few weeks back we had family pictures taken when Katie and Dan were up.
Cambria's friend Chalet was nice enough to take them for us.
    They turned out great!!
