Suprise!!

Yesterday was by far the best suprise I have ever had....

I was reading my book in the living room and hear someone at the door. My mom goes to the door grining  ear to ear as I ask "who is that". She invited the person inside, the next thing I know I see Chet come into my house. I honestly was shocked that he was even in my house. He wasn't supposed to get home till sunday so I was not expecting to see him at all. I really didn't know what to say or do for a couple of minutes cause I was so shocked. I just know I was shaking and in the back of my head thinking oh great I dont have any makeup on, I stink, my hair is greasy and I am all sweaty. I couldn't stop smiling, it felt so good to have him finally home. The rest of the night I couldn't help but look at him, hug him tighter and kiss his cute face a little longer.  Looking back on these past 4 month it's been very different, sometimes really lonely and super hard. It made me appreciate the time we do get together, the simple text messages and phone calls. It made me appreciate the man he is and that I am one lucky girl to have such an amazing man in my life.

Trip to Idaho Falls..

Cambria and Stella headed up to Idaho Falls to spend sometime with my grandparents. I tagged a long with them and had a great time visiting and hanging out with my them. Of course we took advantage and stopped at Target and other stores we don't have in Logan and did some shopping. After dinner we played golf (one of the grandma's favorite card games) and there is never a dull moment when your playing cards with those two. Cambria had the idea to make raspberry shakes for a treat along with these huge cinnamon rolls my grandma made for us.

The next day the whole Ellis fam started to show up for my grandparents 50th anniversary in Idaho Falls.

We already had one down in Provo a few months back for their friends and family down there.

The family at the Provo reception

This one was a little different then the Provo reception. All the grandkids put on a skit for my grandparent about thier lives growning up. Torie, Sierra and I acted out the scene where my grandma was a baton twirler back in high school. We probably didn't do it as good as she did but we sure tried :)

Sierra, me and Torie in uniforms from the same high school my grandma went to.

After the skit was done they had us all go up to the stage. (not every one was there so it's not the whole fam)

My grandparents made this quilt of thier kids/spouses, grandkids/spouses and great- grand kids names.

my grandparents, aunts, uncle and my dad

It was great to spend time with family and had a blast hanging out with my grandparents for the weekend.

Fishy....

My brothers and my dad LOVE fish, me not so much. A few weeks ago my dad came home with some fish he got from a friend. He decided to grill some that night. A little while later my dad called me upstairs to come see something cool out the window. As I'm looking out the window and not really seeing anything. My dad says to me, "I really didn't want you to see out the window, I wanted you to just look at that." I follow his finger to what he was pointing at. I screamed and jumped far back from the sink. This is what I saw...

Yep 2 fish heads!!! My dad and brothers got a good laugh at my reaction. So much that a couple day after my dad comes downstairs and does it again to me. This time he put the fish head close to my face and I freaked out even more. Let's just say I'm a little nervous when my dad brings fish home now, but I had a really good laugh after. Gotta love boys :)

Catch Up...

I realize I haven't written on my blog in almost a month. I just have been enjoying the last few weeks left I have of the summer. Here are a few things I have been up to the last couple of weeks:
  • Played lots of tennis
  • Went boating
  • Went to preston rodeo
  • Had a camp out in Natalie's back yard with a movie on the side of her house
  • Celebrated Pioneer Day by going to the parade with the boys and watched fireworks with friends.
I forgot my camera was in my purse so this was the only one I got
  • Took a trip to Idaho Falls (more to come on that)
  • Had my first experience of food poisoning-not fun at all
